Was sind die schwimmenden Inseln? - Nadine - 27.02.2024

Ist jetzt vielleicht ne blöde Frage, aber was genau ist da eigentlich los im Übergang von Tempel of Xian zu den schwimmenden Inseln? Verschlägt es Lara in eine andere Dimension? Sie verfolgt Bartoli aber es gibt Null Erklärung wieso wir im großen leeren Nix sind und auf leuchtenden grünen Inseln rumhopsen 
Das hab ich in 25 Jahren irgendwie nie hinterfragt

Ich glaube, offiziell geklärt wurde das auch nie. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es so eine Art Fiebertraum ist oder eine Zwischenwelt, in der Bartoli sich befindet. Ist nur die Frage, wie Lara dann einfach so da hinkommt. Geht das nur, wenn man "besessen" vom Dolch ist?

Ich glaube, wir hatten hier sogar schon mal darüber geredet. Vllt finde ich das ja wieder.

Etwas unbefriedigend die Antwort, aber damals hat man sich keinen Kopf darum gemacht, dass sowas mal hinterfragt werden kann .

Ich spalte das Thema mal ab.

In dieser Doku (die ganze Reihe ist sehenswert) wird beschrieben, dass Lara halluziniert. 

Diese Erklärung hier finde ich auch richtig gut:

Inside this void is a castle made of jade, and inside this jade castle is the Dragon's Lair, where the spirit of the dragon resides. The Dagger of Xian is a medium that connects the spirit of the dragon with the body of the wielder. In order to buy time to fully bond with the host (Marco Bartoli), and to prevent Lara from impeding his resurrection, the dragon distorted his realm to delay her. He allowed Bartoli's body and henchmen to travel across the jade bridge to the Dragon's Lair and afterwards broke the bridge and scattered the remnants throughout the realm so Lara couldn't get across.

However, this is Lara Croft we're talking about. She managed to successfully navigate the "floating islands," defeat the dragon's army, and then snuck inside the lair through a back door. In the next level, when she killed the dragon, she also killed the source of the realm's power, thus the entire realm collapsed on itself and Lara was thrown out of it and back into the human realm.

Irgendwie kann man offenbar immer mit einer Erklärung um die Ecke kommen, wenn die Leveldesigner sich einfach nur mal austoben wollten.
